Here's what the outside of our CHU (combat housing unit - pronounced "Chew")

notice the sand bags and huge cement bast dividers along the walkway.

Here's the inide. We're lucky, most don't have a desk.

notice the dust on the floor. It gets everywhere.

Here's the C-130 that we flew over to Balad in. We entered and exited by the rear ramp that you can see there.

I'm a little hesitant before take off.

Here's the seating arrangments. This was one of the worst 90 minutes of my life. I couldn't get comfortable. "can i get an isle seat?" oh, and also, they didn't have any windows.

This is tent city at the airport.

This is the waiting area for the airport. Some get "caught" here for a few days. It's no fun.

We're pack up our stuff here as we leave Kuwait.
